Nonlinear Dynamics expands its international sales team
(Newcastle upon Tyne, UK) Nonlinear Dynamics Ltd, the Newcastle-upon-Tyne based software company, has expanded its sales team through the creation of two new senior positions in the US and Europe.
Nonlinear has built a global reputation amongst life scientists working in pharmaceutical development, biotechnology and at the world’s top universities. The Company is well known for its 2D image analysis products and is gaining an excellent reputation in the rapidly growing field of label-free LC-MS data analysis with key researchers worldwide adopting Nonlinear’s latest product.
Part of the Progenesis™ range, Progenesis LC-MS is a data analysis program that helps researchers to find and quantify the proteins showing interesting behavior that warrant further investigation. It uses a quantify-then-identify approach which minimises the loss of data in an experiment. Nonlinear’s software can analyse data from a range of vendor’s instrumentation thus opening up a wide range of potential sales channels.
Dr Leonhard Pollack, who is based in Germany, has joined the Company to support the territories of Germany, Austria and Finland; markets previously supported from the UK. Nonlinear Dynamics’ finance director, Duncan Barrie said, "Having Leo based in his territory is a huge advantage from a language, cultural and customer relationship perspective. In addition, the Company is benefitting from Leo’s huge experience in the field; experience gained over 12 years with one the world’s largest mass spectrometry instrumentation vendors."
In addition to Leonhard’s appointment, Mark Pitman has joined the Company to strengthen the US based sales team. Mark is based on the West Coast of the US allowing him to offer customer support locally. Mark joins Nonlinear from Proteome Software, and brings a wealth of experience in proteomics research using mass spectrometry. Mark Bennett, general manager of Nonlinear’s US operation said, "We are delighted that Mark Pitman has joined our team in the US. Label-free LC-MS is rapidly emerging as the technique of choice for proteomics research and with Mark now on board, we are in a great position to maximise the potential of this huge US market."
Duncan Barrie concluded, "These two new additions to our direct sales force give the Company additional reach, local expertise and bandwidth to address the rapidly growing LC-MS market."
