Unique Bioinformatics solution from Nonlinear Dynamics smashes the Proteomics bottleneck

(Newcastle upon Tyne, UK). Nonlinear Dynamics Ltd, a leading provider of bioinformatics solutions, announces the launch of Progenesis, the product set to smash the proteomics bottleneck by automating 2D gel electrophoresis and establishing new levels of quantitative reliability.

The potential that proteomics offers the pharmaceutical and allied industries lies in the process of generating reliable data from 2D gels. Progenesis is a totally new concept in automation. It is a unique scalable solution that tackles the well-documented problems associated with 2D gel electrophoresis and realises the potential in this area.

Progenesis is a "hands-free" automated image analysis system specifically designed for researchers with high-throughput proteomics requirements. It can be launched against high numbers of 2D electrophoresis gel images for walk-away analysis that includes spot detection, measurement and matching, all done using sophisticated new technology. Added to this is a new range of tools that clearly show just how accurately Progenesis detects all separated material without the need for tedious manual intervention.
