Genetix Ltd chooses Nonlinear's Phoretix 2D software for their GelPix robot

(Newcastle upon Tyne and New Milton, UK) Nonlinear Dynamics Ltd, established leaders in 2D gel analysis solutions, announced Genetix Ltd (New Milton, UK) has chosen Nonlinear to provide the new version of its Phoretix™ 2D Advanced image analysis software for delivery with its GelPix Proteomics robot.

The GelPix is a high-throughput protein spot excision system developed by Genetix, leaders in the field of automated robotic design. The gels are imaged using a high- resolution on-board camera. From the image, Phoretix 2D software is used to generate a protein target excision list. Nonlinear has designed a special interface within Phoretix 2D that is capable of transforming the calculated position of the candidate spots to their current location on the GelPix system.
