Nonlinear Dynamics heralds a new era in high-throughput 1D electrophoresis analysis

(Newcastle, UK) Nonlinear Dynamics Limited, a leading provider of bioinformatics solutions, announces the release of Phoretix 1D, v 5.0, a revolution in software for high-throughput 1D electrophoresis analysis.

This off-the-shelf product contains a uniquely powerful and flexible lane and band detection algorithm capable of dealing with a broad range of 1D electrophoresis applications. These include multi-tier gels, MADGE gels and large multi-well format, sequencing style gels. This makes it the ideal choice for scientists with high-throughput applications and large format high-resolution gels.

New automation algorithms are behind the unique Analysis Protocols function that allows the user to automate the entire gel analysis process through a fully customisable list of operations, running in a set order to produce a complete analysis - from 1D gel image to a comprehensive set of experiment data in a single button press. Although highly automated, Phoretix 1D offers the user a great deal of analytical flexibility and control to check results step by step.

A particular strength of all Phoretix products is the intuitive interface making the software the easiest to use of its kind. First released in 1992, this release of Phoretix 1D Advanced has benefited from significant input from some of the thousands of users worldwide, industry and academic collaborators and the Company's prestigious OEM partners.
