Amersham Pharmacia Biotech to supply Progenesis™ - Nonlinear Dynamics' high-throughput image analysis software for Proteomics research

(Newcastle upon Tyne, UK and Piscataway, NJ, USA). Nonlinear Dynamics Ltd, a leading provider of bioinformatics solutions, announces that Amersham Pharmacia Biotech (APBiotech) has signed a non-exclusive distributor agreement for sales of Nonlinear's Progenesis™ 2D electrophoresis image analysis software.

Progenesis is a "hands-free" automated image analysis system specifically designed for researchers using 2D gel electrophoresis for their high-throughput proteomics projects. By automating the analysis stage of 2D gel electrophoresis, Progenesis has smashed the bottleneck traditionally associated with this widely used and effective method for protein expression studies. Progenesis complements and supports APBiotech's Ettan™ proteomics research platform.

Will Dracup, Managing Director and founder of Nonlinear Dynamics, said: "We already have an extremely good working relationship with Amersham Pharmacia Biotech since they sell our standard products under the ImageMaster™ name."
