Shimadzu Oceania signs distribution agreement with bioinformatics developer Nonlinear Dynamics

(Newcastle upon Tyne, UK and Sydney, Australia) Nonlinear Dynamics, the leading provider of bioinformatics software solutions, further reinforces its commitment to expanding business globally by announcing today the appointment of Shimadzu Oceania, the Australasian subsidiary of Shimadzu Corporation, to represent all of Nonlinear's desktop products within Australia and New Zealand.

Australasia has a thriving Life Science customer base, and has been at the forefront of developments in many fields, particularly proteomics. Nonlinear wants to build on its already strong brand recognition in this country for its industry-leading 1D and 2D image analysis software, and Shimadzu represents a leading participant within this market.

The products available for sale through Shimadzu Oceania include Nonlinear's entire range of Phoretix products for in-depth 2D electrophoresis studies; Phoretix 1D, a powerful analytical tool suited to all aspects of comprehensive 1D electrophoresis research; and Phoretix Array offering the array image analysis market a superior level of performance and sophistication. In addition Shimadzu Oceania will offer TotalLab, a suite of core image analysis tools with modules for 1D gel analysis, array/dot blot analysis, colony counting and various other general image analysis applications, making it an invaluable tool for the life science laboratory.
