Nonlinear appoints new General Manager, Asia Pacific

Nonlinear Dynamics appoints new General Manager for Asia Pacific Rim region

(Newcastle upon Tyne, UK) Nonlinear Dynamics Ltd, a leading provider of bioinformatics solutions, is pleased to announce that it has appointed Mark Bennett as its new General Manager, Asia Pacific. This is part of a major restructuring of Nonlinear's international sales organisation.

Mark, who has been with Nonlinear since 1997, was European Sales Manager for a period, before holding the position of CEO with Nonlinear's US Subsidiary, Nonlinear USA Inc, since its incorporation in 2000. He will retain the title and strategic management duties of CEO. However having recruited and managed a highly successful sales force within the States, Mark is taking on the challenging role of General Manager, Asia Pacific, a region in which Nonlinear is looking to grow sales substantially over the coming year.

Mark will take over this role from Dr Alan Koontz, who tragically died last year. Many significant developments were made during this period by Dr Koontz, and Mark will be moving these forward, as well as developing new relationships and collaborations in this important region for Nonlinear's products.

Mark Bennett said, "I am looking forward to this new and challenging opportunity for me. The Asia Pacific region holds an awful lot of potential for us, particularly with regard to the continually evolving proteomics market. Alan achieved a lot in his short time overseeing this region and I am confident we can continue and build on the significant increase in sales and collaboration opportunities which we saw during this period."
