Genomic Solutions signs OEM distribution agreement with Nonlinear Dynamics

(Ann Arbor, MI, USA and Newcastle upon Tyne, UK) Genomic Solutions Inc., a subsidiary of Harvard Bioscience, Inc., (Nasdaq: HBIO), a leading global supplier of automated life science research solutions for genomics, proteomics, and high throughput screening, today announced it has signed an OEM distribution agreement with leading edge bioinformatics developer, Nonlinear Dynamics.

Under the agreement, Nonlinear Dynamics will supply a suite of products for the analysis of 2D electrophoresis gels to Genomic Solutions, which will be distributed under the Investigator™ HT Analyzer brand. Genomic Solutions will also distribute Nonlinear Dynamics' 1D electrophoresis gel analysis product under the same trade name.

Established for many years as the industry-standard for 2D electrophoresis gel analysis, the software supplied under this agreement will include a mid range package for user-guided 2D gel analysis and a further product which offers increased consistency and automation for the proteomics researcher.

Genomic Solutions will also distribute Nonlinear's 1D electrophoresis analysis product, a very well established and respected package. It is the only product of its kind to incorporate the generation of band picking coordinates for direct integration with the Investigator ProPic™ robotic workstation.

These HT Analyzer products will be integrated into the Investigator™ proteomics line offered by Genomic Solutions, which includes a 2-D electrophoresis system, ProPicTM robotic workstation, ProGestTM protein digestion station, ProMSTM MALDI preparation station and ProPrepTM protein digestion and mass spec preparation station.
