TotalLab Software Suite now compatible with Mac (Newcastle upon Tyne) Nonlinear Dynamics Ltd, a leading provider of bioinformatics solutions, today announced that TotalLab, its acclaimed general image analysis software solution, is now compatible with the Apple Mac by using Virtual PC for Mac v7.0. TotalLab provides automated, quantitative analysis of images from a wide range of biological samples. The core component is the comprehensive 1D analysis module, which is simple to use and allows a fast and consistent analysis of 1D gel electrophoresis images in a few clicks. Highly sophisticated algorithms enable single-click identification of lanes and bands, followed by accurate calculation of molecular weights and band quantities from even the most difficult to analyse 1D images. TotalLab also includes three additional modules, for the quantitative analysis of arrays, colonies and a toolbox for general image analysis. These each employ the same simple wizard-driven approach to generate useful results quickly and easily. John Spreadbury, Group Sales and Marketing Director at Nonlinear Dynamics
