(Newcastle upon Tyne, UK) Nonlinear Dynamics Ltd, a leading provider of bioinformatics solutions, today announced a series of key appointments to its US subsidiary, Nonlinear USA Inc.

Following the promotion of Steve Noblitt to US Sales Manager as announced in July, the company has appointed Chris Brannen as Western Regional Sales Manager and Jason Attanucci as Eastern Regional Sales Manager. As a supplementary appointment, Nonlinear has also named Dr Peter Kraus as a Field Applications Scientist.

Chris Brannen joins Nonlinear after 3 years with Bio-Rad Laboratories. During this time, he was sales account manager for a broad range of the Bio-Rad technology portfolio, with considerable experience in the field of 2D gel analysis. He received significant recognition for his contribution in developing sales across the company's Life Sciences products. In addition to his role in sales, Chris was also involved in numerous marketing and events based activities. Chris is a graduate in Biological Sciences from the University of Illinois at Chicago.

Jason Attanucci is a graduate in Molecular Biology and Immunisation from the University of Pittsburgh, with over 5 years commercial experience in applications science, sales and training roles. Prior to joining Nonlinear, Jason was National Sales Manager for ChemImage Corp. In this capacity Jason worked primarily with the pharmaceutical sector, investigating and developing applications for novel imaging technologies.

Dr Peter Kraus joins the company after holding postdoctoral research positions with both Yale University and Duke University medical centre after obtaining a PhD in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Connecticut in 2001.

John Spreadbury, Group Sales and Marketing Director at Nonlinear Dynamics and CEO of
Nonlinear USA Inc., said, "Since opening our US subsidiary in 2000, Nonlinear's share of the US proteomics market has increased steadily year on year. This success has been achieved not only through the quality of the Nonlinear range, but also the quality of our US based staff. Our highly trained and experienced Nonlinear representatives are always available to provide hands on assistance in addressing customer research requirements. This collaborative approach ensures our ability to deliver optimum analysis solutions and accelerate rates of discovery.

"We are delighted to welcome Chris, Jason and Peter to the company. Each individual comes with an excellent market pedigree and considerable experience in working with scientists across a range of disciplines. This should make for a smooth integration into their associated roles to benefit Nonlinear customers from day one."
