We considered 2D image analysis to be one of the big bottlenecks in 2D gel proteomics. SameSpots has completely changed that. 2D gel analysis is now easy and we do much more 2D experiments.
Comparing different groupings
To compare multiple groupings (experiment designs) in the same experiment, after you have created your first design at the Experiment Design Setup stage, click on the "New" tab.
Once you have created your new design, you can assign the images to their groups and then switch between the different designs at any of the analysis stages.
As soon as the experiment design is changed, all measurements and statistics are recalculated. The notes and tags will remain unchanged, so you can easily see how individual spots are behaving in different experiment designs.
